Pass the Mic: Selfish Sons

If you haven’t heard of the freshest rock trio Selfish Sons, you’re about to get just a little bit of a sum up of what such a band is. Based in Brisbane, the boys are made up of drums, strings and vocals, great enough to blow your socks off. If their sound doesn’t blow your mind, the genuinely wonderful personalities at such a young age will, with both Finn Polbodetto (drums) and Jonty Carlson (bass) being fresh graduates out of high school, while the elder brother of the Polbodetto’s, Jordan (lead guitar/vocals), being only a couple years older.

What’s Goin On: Port Royal + The Cherry Dolls @ The Brightside

With all different takes on rock music, the pure virtues are alive and well. Drops: Amistat

The Australian based duo Amistat has hit the radar with their new single “The Coward” and an Australian tour this December after a sold-out European tour!

The Prasil twins that make up the pair music in its simplistic glory through soaring harmonies and synchronisation. The soft beat shared between drums and keyboard accompany the brothers voices, creating a very reminiscent Ed Sheeran vibe circa 2010 (Eg. “A-Team”).
