The Brisbane based band The Jungle Giants have graced our ears once again with “Feel The Way I Do”- an upbeat tune that is sure to make you dance. Released today, it seems like the start of what may be a new era of music for the band although, keeping basic components of their older music.
Starting with a simple dance keyboard melody, accompanied by a reoccurring groovy guitar riff and standard but noticeable drum beat, the song is promising. Similar to their 2015 album ‘Speakerzoid’ it creates the same dance beat with an electronic, dance/pop sound.
What works for the songs is that the use of the mechanical like synth sound and cowbell within the chorus. In juxtaposition with the metallic feel of the lead Sam Hales vocals, the band created an almost clock work but dance-floor ready beat.
Between ‘Speakerzoid’ and their upcoming album which will be released later this year, “Feel The Way I Do” builds a perfect bridge between the two with similar sounds of the same Indie Pop-Rock/Dance vibe.
It is clear that the band is continuously working and evolving their sound as they have come a long way from tracks such as “She’s A Riot” (2013) and even earlier music like “Mr Polite” (2011).
